natalie finkelstein is an artist/illlustrator & graphic designer currently working in the fashion industry.  this is how she describes her work:

"i tend to treat my canvas the way a designer would treat a garment.  the fabric is dyed, embellished and flaunted, rather than used as a ground for paint.  colours and subject matter are often reflective of current trends, as i embrace my own willingness to be seduced by the enticing world of fashion.  as an artist, i am interested in the complex connection between women and consumption: both the physical act of eating as well as the effect of the media on our own consumer consumption.  this intertwining of consumption and desire inspires my use of candy as the central symbol of the bulk of my work."
